This drawing is a remake of something I did earlier last year in paper, and I think it came out pretty well.
As you can see, the piece portrays a cowboy in the desert of the wild west. A little fact about myself is that I love westerns, any genre of media, love it. So when I made that original drawing, I felt I needed to do something surrounding it, Thus the idea of making a comic was born.
At the moment it's just an idea, though I have some other characters I plan on redrawing and uploaded to the website.
Speaking of characters, the piece depicts "the harlow would not pass". I really like how I drew him, in one piece you can see the lineart has been coloured in to show light and dark. i believe the hat cam out well, the hair is alright, but I'm a pretty big fan of the poncho. His face looks good, and I like the added sunburn I put on his skin. The bits of dirt on his hat and poncho were a nice touch I'd say.
The background I'm a massive fan of, I like working with that style of background that looks quite cartoonish, I think it's a bit of eye candy that doesn't have too much going on, but just the right amount.
